Your Bristol & Somerset Wedding - Jun/Jul 2019 (Issue 71)
Our tables were named after places we visited in the United States, and the top table was called Brooklyn for obvious reasons! The place settings were funny Polaroid pictures of our guests. There was a rustic vibe for the day with a sky blue palette. The main feature of the floral arrangements was gypsophila – it’s so simple but effective. Our centrepieces were a pretty vase and candles on a log slice, along with a bucket of drinks! We also had a LOVE sign for the dancefloor, which is something I’ve always wanted. Luke’s sister kindly made our delicious naked cake – it was exactly what we wanted. It had three yummy tiers of carrot, lemon and Victoria sponge. Luke’s brother also made a gluten-free option. Driving down the lane into the venue, we both got butterflies. And when we stepped inside, it just got better. I fell for the modern yet rustic feel, while Luke loved the bar area. We had family coming from across the UK, so the fact that everything was in one place was brilliant for us. 46
