After a few months of chatting every day, they realised there was a stronger connection than just friendship. “I was living in Birmingham at the time, and Luke was in Bristol,” Vicki tells us. “We had a long-distance relationship for two years, but as soon as I finished university, I moved to be with him.” Fast-forward four years, and the pair decided to go travelling around the United States. “Our second stop was New York,” Vicki remembers. “At sunset, we went for a walk across the Brooklyn Bridge, where Luke got down on one knee against a backdrop of the city’s famous skyline.” The loved-up couple celebrated with champagne while they waited for their loved ones back home to wake up so they could share the news. Back in the UK, Vicki and Luke set the date for 6 th April, 2018, at Aldwick Estate. We caught up with the bride to find out how they planned their dream day… REAL WEDDINGS 45 
