With a backdrop of the Blackdown Hills, this private, 13 th -century manor house is a hidden gem found within picturesque scenery. The traditional English garden offers photogenic spots, such as its pretty pergola, koi pond, an old-fashioned lamppost and red letter box. There are three historic properties on site, all of which have been beautifully restored and given a modern-luxury edge. The Manor’s impressive interior remains true to its Medieval heritage, with oak beams, two large inglenook fireplaces and a glorious stained-glass entrance door. The Lakehouse has a quirky feel, with high-beamed ceilings, a selection of modern illuminated artwork and a lavish glass banqueting table. The Great Long Barn is where quintessential English style meets contemporary sophistication in a converted mill house. LET’S CELEBRATE! For ceremonies, guests can choose to wed inside The Banqueting Hall with up to 86 loved ones or The Drawing Room for smaller congregations of up to 30. When the weather is fine, The Pergola comfortably seats up to 150 people next to the main lawn under a huge canopy of trees. Post-vow meals and parties take place on the lawns during the summer. Friends and family can enjoy a round of croquet and relax by the tranquil pond. During the winter, intimate celebrations can be held in the cosy fire-lit Banqueting Hall or Drawing Room.
