The company’s relationship specialist found that 84 per cent of younger partners, aged between 25- and 34-years-old, go on date nights, compared to 63 per cent of over 65s. Importantly, mydatenight.com found that four in five women and seven in ten men agree that their last date night helped them to feel closer to their partner. It’s not just the nuptials, our fur babies are now getting involved with all aspects of wedding preparations. A total of 20 per cent consider their dog when it comes to choosing the venue, almost a fifth of those surveyed involve their pup in the proposal and one in four even take them along on the honeymoon. A whopping 90 per cent would favour their pet getting an invitation to the wedding over their in-laws. The survey also found that almost a quarter of women had been asked to cover the bride’s hen do expenses, whereas just one in five men had been asked to financially contribute towards the cost for the groom.
