Your Somerset, Glos & Wilts Wedding - April/May 2025 (Issue 106)

We chose seasonal flowers for our floral arrangements, including daffodils, hyacinths, and tulips. The centrepieces were supplied by Berwick Lodge from their beautiful cutting garden and the bouquets were by Flower Fairies, Bristol. As the wedding was on Good Friday, we opted for a spring and Easter theme. Our palette included pale yellow and blue. David and his groomsmen wore black tuxedos with blue bow ties. They looked fantastic. Our young nephews wore the same. It was a great look. Our table plan and order-of-the-day board were handmade by our incredibly talented friend Hollie. We had an M&S Colin and Connie the Caterpillar wedding cake and two smaller Connies to represent our daughters. Colin is a firm favourite in our family and has been for years, so it was always the only option for us! It went down a treat with our guests. As we have children, we wanted to add a bit of fun to the day and planned an Easter egg hunt for our guests. We also decided to give them Cadbury’s Creme Eggs as favours because honestly, who doesn’t love a Creme Egg! 32
