We had a sweetheart table for Michael and I, two long zigzags and a long straight table down the middle of the hall. I felt this made the look less regimented or like a canteen! I’d collected dried flowers and small vases from Facebook Marketplace and got some more from a wholesaler. My cousin and I spent an afternoon arranging them in vases for the tables and with eucalyptus runners. Our favours were Welsh cakes made by our very own Welsh dragon, Michael’s mum, Cath. These were presented in lovely miniature hat boxes that my mum, Judy, cut out and Cath and I put together. They all bore my design and featured a Welsh dragon on top. We opted for pocket boutonnieres instead of traditional buttonholes and I’m so glad we did. We also had corsages for both our mums and Michael’s aunt. We even ordered an extra one last minute to hide my tattoo, which worked perfectly! For transport, I picked a lovely VW Campervan named Lois that I’d seen at The Big Soutwest Wedding Fair at the Bath and West Showground. For our table plan we used an old frame, some string, and card held by pegs. It was simple but effective. 33 REAL WEDDINGS
