FALLING IN LOVE Beth and Chris styled their autumnal big day with a palette to suit the season and a maple leaf motif as a nod to the groom’s heritage Images courtesy of Heather Bailey Co Beth and Chris met online and when they got together for a first date #IRL shortly afterwards at a local restaurant they immediately hit it off. “There were no awkward silences and we chatted for a couple of hours as though we’d known each other for years,” Beth remembers. So, two weeks and five dates later, they made it official! Fast forward five years and Chris booked the same Bristol apartment that they’d stayed at on their first trip away together back in those early days. This was a surprise to Beth who thought they were just going to the spa for a day. The bigger surprise was to come though as it was here that Chris got down on one knee and popped the question. Happily, Beth said “yes,” and they hit the town for pizza and drinks to celebrate. The couple completely fell in love with Pennard House in Shepton Mallet, it being a beautiful country house – exactly what they were looking for. “The beautiful house was covered in ivy with grand interiors,” Beth explains. “The staff were absolutely fantastic and so helpful throughout the entire process.” Join us as Beth tells us all about the big day: 14th October 2023... 40
