a gorgeous sage-green off-the-shoulder chiffon dress – they were my greenery to my flower as I like the say!” THE BIG DAY On the day the newlyweds obviously felt a mixture of emotions! “We were both excited, but also nervous – me more than him!” shares Abigail, “There was so much love in the room which made us feel so special!” The couple chose two songs for their first dance, Toto’s Africa and The Other Side by Jason Derulo. “We did a little routine for the last song and everyone cheered, so that for me was a moment to remember. There were so many moments that stood out, from the first look with my dad, to walking down the aisle, then our speeches and the big party in the evening!” To entertain guests, the couple hired a magician during the meal who stayed until the evening reception started. “He actually performed magic to us on one of our dates when we were younger,” recalls Abigail, “We found him at a wedding fair and thought it was meant to be, we had to have him! It was a hit with all the guests too! “One funny moment, as we were about to the start the speeches, a relative came in from the bar, which everyone in the room all turned to look at her in silence, she had to pay for her drinks but her dad’s bank card needed a pin for which she shouted across the room what was his pin number – it was a had to be there moment to see how funny it was! Another one was, our photographer asked us to walk through the town centre for some pictures, it was a warm sunny Saturday afternoon with everyone sat outside the pubs, they started shouting and cheering us on, a few people made comments like ‘run’ or ‘it’s never too late’ haha!” There wasn’t a particular part or person that made it any more special than it already was for Abigail and Lloyd, “From morning to night the wedding coordinator kept checking on us,” shares Abigail. “Seeing my 18-month-old boy walk down to be with his dad was emotional, the food was superb, the speeches were funny but also moving, additionally, my father-daughter dance to then having a mini rave in the evening with light-up batons – they were all just standout moments for us!” 34
