This theme is truly loved by all ages and can be left in its most natural form or brought up to date by adding a boho, pampas vibe.” – Debbie from Design Hut Wedding & Event Styling. “This purely natural look is unique, as no two pieces are the same. This theme is perfect for outdoor weddings, barns and understated nuptials due to its timeless and effortless appeal.” – Debbie from Design Hut Wedding & Event Styling. www.designhutweddingandeventstyling.co.uk www.detailstyling.com & www.jobradbury.co.uk www.designhutweddingandeventstyling.co.uk www.detailstyling.com & www.jobradbury.co.uk www.detailstyling.com & www.jobradbury.co.uk “Since the rise of rustic wedding venues, we have been seeing this theme grow bigger each season, and it is here to stay. Rustic styling has evolved over the past few years as we are seeing somewhat more elegant styling in these traditional settings. My advice for this theme is to really consider your venue. If the venue is rustic, like a converted barn or a tipi, you don’t often have to do a lot as the venue will amplify your theme. Look for beautiful stone walls or interesting door frames that can be used for a cake backdrop or for photos.” – Maria from Detail Event Styling & Design. “The beauty of a rustic wedding is that it is nature’s palette, so you can choose your favourite colour and add this to neutral tones, which will complement and align well, creating an elegant feel to the styling. If you want a subtle look, all white and neutral colours look beautiful in a rustic setting, enhanced with off-white and nude taper candles. For a touch of luxury and to elevate your table design, add crystal glassware, marble candlesticks, gold cutlery and beautifully textured linen.” – Maria from Detail Event Styling & Design. “Using seasonal flowers will add to the natural, rustic feel of the venue. Wildflowers, sunflowers, and daisies are excellent choices for a rustic theme, offering a sense of simplicity and natural beauty. Incorporating natural elements such as wood, stones, and greenery can enhance the ambiance. Consider using wooden crates or barrels as flower stands, log slices on tables and twigs and branches in large floral installations. Choose containers that complement the theme. Options like mason jars, metal buckets, and ceramic pots can be perfect for holding floral arrangements. These not only add character but also blend seamlessly with the rustic setting.” – Abbey from Fleurs&Ink Floristry. “Often subtle touches from the outdoors are all you need for this theme, such as incorporating seasonal flowers and gorgeous meadow arrangements. Think lots of texture through the table décor to add depth and also consider using natural materials like stone slabs for pillar candles or a marble cake stand.” – Maria from Detail Event Styling & Design. Rustic romance www.fleursandinkfloristry.co.uk & www.mark-tattersall.co.uk “Utilise dried as well as fresh flowers in your design. Dried flowers give rustic vibes and create visual interest in your floral designs. Using old or vintagestyle decorations, such as old suitcases, vases or old garden goblets are great. Basically avoid everything matching; you want an eclectic variety and a mismatch of items.” – Amy from MillieBuds. VENUE STYLING 57
