married.’ To finish, I opted for pear-shaped diamond earrings to match my engagement ring and a diamond bracelet. Lewis wore a black tuxedo from Marc Darcy. He accessorised with a black dickie bow and black patent shoes.” Olivia’s bridesmaids wore long champagne-coloured halter neck dresses with nude heels, pearl hair accessories and lovely pearl earrings. TIME TO CELEBRATE “To keep our friends and family entertained, we had a singer and guitarist called Zak Acoustic who played after the ceremony while the photos were being taken,” says Olivia. “He was outside in the gardens where people were, as the weather was glorious. We had first heard him at our local pub during the summer and thought he was amazing, interacting with everyone and singing songs we loved and knew our guests would. As soon as we booked our wedding, we hired him not long after. We also had crazy golf after the ceremony and wedding breakfast from Crazy 9 to fill the gap, with a singing waiter during the wedding breakfast and a saxophone player with a DJ from Exceed Events Ltd. Everything was a hit; it was just the best day and the entertainers we booked were amazing.” MEMORABLE MOMENTS “We felt on top of the world,” shares the bride. “It was the best day from start to finish; it couldn’t have been any better for us. It’s hard to pinpoint one particular memory, but seeing each other for the first time, getting into my dress and our first dance were just amazing moments. Everyone we wanted was there and they all made the day extra special. A memorable moment was when my bridesman read out a poem he had written about me and Lewis during the ceremony. Our service was so personal and special thanks to our amazing celebrant from Pink & Ginger Ceremonies. What made our wedding date extra special was that exactly a year later, I gave birth to our first baby called Theo. “We made a weekend of the wedding,” continues Olivia. “The day before, the bridesmaids and I enjoyed a day at the Crow Wood Hotel & Spa Resort’s on-site spa and the men had a golf day. In the evening, the bridal party and grooms party, along with our families, joined together for a meal and drinks at the hotel’s restaurant. It was a great start to the celebrations.” FLY AWAY WITH ME “For our honeymoon, we went to Mexico for two weeks,” remembers Olivia. “The trip was so needed and it was lovely to just unwind and spend some quality time together. It was just what we needed after such a busy few weeks in the run-up to the wedding.” OLIVIA AND LEWIS’ TOP TIPS “Don’t stress the small stuff; no one apart from you and your partner knows what you have planned, so if it doesn’t go exactly to plan, then no one will be any the wiser,” shares the bride. “Just enjoy every moment; the day goes by so fast, so just be in the moment!” REAL WEDDINGS 33
