Your North West Wedding - October/November 2024 (Issue 88)

Tom and I chose a metal arch with flowers, draped fabric, and a neon sign, which was used as the ceremony backdrop and behind the sweetheart table during the wedding breakfast. We also had lots of pumpkins and bud vases filled with autumnal flowers and votives lining the aisle. We wanted a venue that we could use exclusively for the whole day, as well as somewhere we could stay over. It also had to be close for our family and friends to travel to, particularly for certain family members that we wanted to be there. Ashfield House is quite unique in the area; the food was amazing, and it had a lovely relaxed vibe, which was exactly what we wanted! Some guest tables had pumpkins with draped fabric, votives, tapered candles and bud vases filled with autumnal flowers and foliage. Others had large flower towers, with drapes of fabric and tapered candles around the base. Tom and I decided to have a sweetheart table, which was decorated with mini pumpkins, bud vases, candles and personalised banners. Daydreamer Creative Studio created banners with song lyrics on them, which were hung from our sweetheart table. For our food, we opted for barbecue-style mini burgers, kebabs and salads. For the evening food, we had a pizza oven and fish and chips. We created artificial pumpkins as place names, which people took home. Our cake was heart-shaped and decorated in shades of burnt orange. We also had individual cupcakes that looked like pumpkins in various colours. 22
