The most special part of the day was, oddly enough, just being able to physically catch up with family members with who we’d previously been limited to talking to over Zoom. We had a minimoon at The Lodore Falls Hotel & Spa in Keswick. The original plan was to travel the West Coast of America, but due to restrictions this couldn’t happen. We had a fantastic time and enjoyed numerous spa treatments and visiting local towns. The Lake District is one of our favourite places to visit, so when the restrictions were relaxed temporarily, we jumped at the chance to get some semblance of a honeymoon. It ended up being a lovely intimate wedding with just our closest family members there plus the staff. We were both slightly nervous, but it was a really memorable day. Our guest list was reduced from 80 people to arou nd 25 due to COVID-19 restrictions, which certainly took some of the press ure off. The Government changed the restrictions close to o ur wedding day, so we were unsure if we’d be able to have any guests at all. REAL WEDDINGS 39 
