Overflowing with character, the property has oak beams, stone walls and beautiful grounds for guests to explore. Dating back to 1655, this historic property was once home to Ann Hyde who married James II. 1. Historically, it was used for horse-drawn carts to unload hay and corn sheaves and over the years has been updated and converted to create the current premises. CELEBRATE IN STYLE Weddings take place in the Ann Hyde Suite. This first-floor space has heaps of character, with oak beams, stone walls and lots of natural light, it’s capable of holding 110 friends and family for the ceremony. Once the service is complete, guests can make their way into the gardens to enjoy a glass of bubbly and relax while the photographs are being taken. Receptions are held in the new lounges, where loved ones can relax with a private bar and built-in dancefloor. Boasting feature windows and lots of natural light, this area can hold 150 nearest and dearest. WE LOVE... The 15 acres of grounds are a mixture of formal and country gardens, with historic turrets and castellations, perfect for taking photographs. The property was built in 1841, and in 1997 the current owners bought it and worked hard to transform it into the luxurious wedding venue we see today. Inside, there is a range of quirky and decadent rooms and suites available, spacious public rooms and antique furniture. CELEBRATE IN STYLE The most popular ceremony space is the Music Room. This space is beautifully decorated and is ideal for both intimate and lavish celebrations. For the wedding breakfast, couples can hire the Dining Room, which has space for 46 guests or 60 with a buffet option. If the weather is nice, the team can also do a barbecue in the gardens or wandering feats which takes in all the public rooms. WE LOVE...
