Your North West Wedding- August/September 2020 (Issue 63)
In the weeks running up to the wedding, I thought I’d lost my favourite leather jacket, but on the morning of the wedding, Michael surprised me by returning it personalised. It had Mrs Green added onto the back and a floral design to match my bouquet. We were extremely nervous on the day, but once the speeches were out of the way, we managed to relax. The speeches were unreal, everyone was in stitches, and one of our friends even did a personalised rendition of Shaggy’s Angel ! My brother, who was one of the best men, did an amazing job with his speech and blew us all away. In the evening, we had a band from Lancashire called Fandjango perform. We saw them play at The Great British Rhythm & Blues Festival and instantly loved them. They sang modern pop with a twist and were a huge hit with the guests. Michael wore a navy blue suit with a discrete check pattern to match the bridesmaids’ dresses. I wore a blush Enzoani dress from Lulu Browns. It suited my height and figure, and the blush tone complimented my skin tone perfectly. My sister bought me a rose gold necklace and earrings to match my gown. The bridesmaids opted for light blue multi-way dresses from Debenhams. My maid-of-honour was heavily pregnant, so we chose a gown that was comfortable and practical that also suited the other girls.
