WINTER Kate and Matthew celebrated their love for one another at the grand Abbey House Hotel Images courtesy of Niki Mills Photography K ate and Matthew met through a mutual friend in 2011. “She gave Matthew my number as I was a travel agent at the time and he wanted to book a holiday,” says Kate. “The same day I booked his holiday we coincidently bumped into each other. We hit it off straight away, and the conversation flowed really well. We continued to talk and a couple of weeks later we went on our first date and haven’t been apart since.” Matthew popped the question on Kate’s birthday. “I was opening my cards and gifts from my eldest son, who was four at the time,” shares the bride. “One of the gifts was a ring box, and as I opened it he said ‘mummy will you marry daddy?’ Matthew then got down on one knee and took over.
