From humble beginnings as a mill workers cottage in the 1700’s to the Cumbrian Country House, Gardens & Estate that stands today, Blaithwaite House has been beautifully refurbished while retaining a world of rustic charm. We have a choice of four different settings for your celebrations. The Drawing Room with its many original features, accommodating 2 - 60 guests. Our Barn in the heart of Blaithwaite is a handsome, sandstone threshing barn with exposed beams - rustic and atmospheric - seating up to 140 guests. The Conservatory , light, bright and south facing overlooking the Orchard gardens, this stunning space can seat 90 guests. Last but by no means least, is Mary-Jane’s Summer House , situated on a little island at the bottom of the formal gardens, it is truly magical. Offering a totally unique outdoor woodland feel to your ceremony and seating 200 guests. We offer a fantastic flexible venue for celebrations big or small, with a friendly and personal service.
