Your North West Wedding- June/July 2020 (Issue 62)

During our wedding breakfast, our toastmaster, George Phillips, led games such as Mr & Mrs and helped the day run smoothly. Our main goal was to have fun and do something a bit different. The room was full of laughter, and it was nice watching everyone having a great time. My bridesmaids opted for light grey Amanda Wyatt chiffon dresses. The gowns had the same detailing at the waist as my dress, and they all wore matching pearl necklaces, earrings and bracelets. Andy chose a three-piece suit from Moss Bros. Finding a suit that fit everyone was difficult, so we decided to have them tailored to ensure all the groomsmen felt comfortable. Andy wore a waistcoat that was a different shade of grey on the back and had our wedding date embroidered on the inside pocket. My dad and I were collected in a white Rolls Royce Phantom from People to Places. Despite a little panic that the car couldn’t find our house, we arrived with plenty of time to spare and thankfully it was a lovely sunny day so we could stand outside and wait! Andy and I travelled in the same car to Abbey House Hotel, and it was lovely being able to have some quiet time together. On arrival at Abbey House Hotel, we had a drinks reception. We chose a gin bar with every flavour you could imagine. We were able to stand outside on the terrace while the trio, Plain Folk, sang. Their voices and music were so mellow that it created the perfect ambience and setting. I wore a bespoke version of a dress called Natasha by Alan Hannah from Mears Ghyll Bridal Rooms. It had a full skirt with a structured bodice and lace appliqués on the skirt. I wanted something a bit more timeless, so I chose a full satin skirt and added lace, pearls and crystals to the bodice. I accessorised with a delicate crystal tiara, chapel-length veil and a Swarvoski necklace and matching bracelet. REAL WEDDINGS 43 
