Your North West Wedding- June/July 2020 (Issue 62)
My brother did a gorgeous reading for us at the ceremony, and Hayden’s speech was really lovely, it had everyone laughing and crying. We were a mixture of excited and nervous on the morning of the wedding. We burst out crying when we saw each other it just felt so emotional. My bridesman, Stephen, played classical music on the piano as we entered the ballroom. This was special for me, and I felt like it was nicer having such a close friend do this for us. In the evening, we had a saxophonist to accompany the DJ which got the party going. Hayden wore a Ted Baker tuxedo from Moss Bros. He had a white bow tie, and a large avalanche rose pin. I wore a gown called Trudy by Ronald Joyce from Blush Boutique. It wasn’t the style I thought I would go for, but my bridesmaids insisted that I try on a fuller design. As soon as I put it on, I knew it was the one. I accessorised with a matching veil and a sparkling headpiece from Debenhams. The bridesmaids wore dresses from Pretty Little Thing, Boohoo and Asos. It was actually really fun for us to have a WhatsApp group and try on some disasters and have a laugh until we found the perfect designs. My bridesman opted for a kilt with a tuxedo top to represent his Scottish heritage. REAL WEDDINGS 27
