We’re planning to go to on a cruise around the Caribbean and spend seven nights in Barbados for our honeymoon. My top tip for any groom-to-be would be to take a moment to stop and enjoy the day. Hire lots of awesome entertainment as when the formalities are done there’s nothing better than a good knees up. During the best man’s speech, he informed us he’d purchased a piece of land in our name making us Lord & Lady Windle. This has since stuck, and a lot of our friends still refer to it. The certificate is framed and hangs proudly on our wall. I really enjoyed the entertainment, especially during the meal. After all the planning, it was great seeing it so well received. I also loved seeing Andrea in her dress for the first time she looked simply stunning. We didn’t want to be the centre of attention, but we had a great time. To tie in with our Medieval theme, one of the bridesmaid’s husbands created stocks for us. He owns Saul’s Joinery and did a great job. The stocks were a fun alternative to a photo booth, and our guests loved it. 56
