Your North West Wedding - Dec/Jan 2019 (Issue 59)

We had lots of food! Our canapés were made using locally sourced ingredients, and we were fortunate enough to give our guests a choice for the wedding breakfast. In the evening, we had an abundance of cake, sweets, chips and sandwiches. Photobooth Cumbria also gave us a free doughnut wall which went down incredibly well with our friends and family. My maid-of-honour chose a dusky pink dress with gold detailing. My flower girl wore a white gown with a handkerchief hem. She loved the lace, and it reminded her of my dress. I chose a Stella York gown called 6303 from Puure and added an extra layer of sparkle underneath the tulle. I tried on several styles but kept coming back to designs with illusion necks and beading around the waist. I accessorised with a simple hairpiece from Ivory & Lace Bridal, a fingertip veil, a necklace, earrings and a bracelet. I incorporated a brooch into my bouquet that was passed down from my great grandma and wore Kate Spade sparkly shoes in the evening. To keep everyone entertained, we hired a photobooth from Photobooth Cumbria and provided our guests with a sweet table. Our loved ones had fun using the props and got to take a copy of their photo home with them as a keepsake. DJ Gary Mills provided the perfect soundtrack to our big day and gave us a copy of the songs to help us remember the evening. David wore a blue suit with a light beige check pattern, and the groomsmen opted for navy suits with champagne coloured ties. I thought they all looked extremely smart. REAL WEDDINGS 53 
