Your North West Wedding - Dec/Jan 2019 (Issue 59)
We’d seen a few venues, but as soon as we entered The Belsfield, I was instantly attracted to it. I loved the amazing views, luxurious colours and beautiful décor. It seems silly, but I really liked the option for armchair seating and the separate reception area. We had the most amazing cake tasting session at Beaulea’s Cake Studio. I was so full that I didn’t manage to try everything! We chose a Victoria sponge and lemon drizzle decorated with lace and pink ribbons. I wanted to incorporate candles into our centrepieces to create an intimate atmosphere. Kevin from Brackens of Bowness worked wonders. I provided him with some ideas I’d found on Pinterest, and he made stunning arrangements. I love Disney and wanted to include subtle nods in our décor. We purchased a picture that we placed on an easel and gold Mickey Mouse fairylights. Jeccabox created our place names. We chose a pink and gold confetti design to match our invitations. For our flowers, I wanted something that would match the venue’s décor and style of my dress. My mum’s favourite flowers were white roses, so I wanted to include them in the design. 52
