Your North West Wedding - Dec/Jan 2019 (Issue 59)
We saw High Style Wedding Cars at a wedding fair and loved how clean and beautiful the vehicles were. We booked them, and our driver turned out to be a big speedway fan! For our flowers, we visited Ellen from Bloomin’ Ells. I fell in love with a beautiful bouquet full of red roses. They were stunning, and I’ve since had them preserved thanks to 3D Flower Preservation. We also purchased white blooms for the bridesmaids’ posies and buttonholes for the groomsmen. Our favours were dementia and brain cancer pins. Andrew’s dad sadly passed away from a tumour, and his granddad suffered from dementia, so both charities were close to our hearts. We held our ceremony at St Lawrence Church Denton. We decorated the space with pew ends that I purchased from The Range. We didn’t plan to have any flowers, but Andrew’s mum organised some as a surprise. We organised for one of Andrew’s bikes to be at the reception venue. We placed it underneath his dad’s memorial brick, which was very special for us both. Later in the day, we moved it upstairs so everyone could have pictures taken with it. Andrew loves Belle Vue Speedway and we both volunteer at the track. It holds a lot of special memories for us, so we knew we wanted to get married there. We were the first wedding to ever take place at the venue. 46
