Your North West Wedding - Jun/Jul 2019 (Issue 56)
I felt nervous on the morning of the wedding, as there was terrible traffic around Preston and a lot of our friends and family were travelling from Manchester. At 12:30, when everyone should have arrived, there were only 30 people! Luckily everyone turned up in the end. The dancefloor was empty most of the evening because our guests were enjoying the garden games. It was great fun and meant our friends had time to get to know each other. Our first dance was to Carly Rae Jepsen’s Call Me Maybe. We surprised our nearest and dearest with a choreographed routine that our friend helped us put together. At the reception, we didn’t have any performers. Instead, we provided sweet treats and outdoor games such as Jenga, ring toss and football. For the bridesmaids’ dresses, I chose multi-way pale green gowns from Debenhams. The high-low design looked great and suited everyone. Tim and the groomsmen wore blue Ted Baker suits from Moss Bros. I wore a Pronovias gown called Drail from Foxglove Brides. The service was incredible, and I couldn’t have been happier. I decided on a mermaid skirt and floral motif top. My friend from Jewdles made my jewellery, and I helped her design it. REAL WEDDINGS 39
