Your North East Wedding - January/February 2024 (Issue 60)

I cried for an hour on the morning of the wedding as it was raining! It was then decided 20 minutes before the ceremony that we could have our dream of getting married outdoors. Afterwards, I felt so silly for getting upset about the weather. We felt like we were floating on a cloud all day; it was perfect. Our wedding was postponed from 2021 due to COVID, so we were just happy we were finally getting married. We decided not to have a top table, so Ryan and I sat on our own for our meal. It’s often said that when you get married, you don’t get to see much of your partner, so sitting together for our first married meal meant we could catch up on the events of getting ready and the morning of our wedding. To keep our guests entertained, we hired a DJ, a singer for the meal, and a saxophone player for the evening. They all did a great job of entertaining our guests and getting them to sing along and have the best time. My bridesmaids opted for mint green wrap dresses from Lipsy London. Ryan chose a Marc Darcy suit from Hotspur 1364. I wore an Enzoani fitted wedding dress called Lesley from the Wedding Dress Company. I fell in love with the gown before I even got engaged, so I knew it was the one. 39 REAL WEDDINGS
