Tyla Fairbairn is the most amazing photographer. She is kind, clever, patient and one of the lushest girls I know. Brandon said he wouldn’t have ever wanted anyone else to take photos of him – even though she made him pose on his own! Our reception began with my sister singing and playing the guitar. I’ll never forget dancing with my mam while she played Taylor Swift’s The Best Day – it was a beautiful moment for which I’ll be forever grateful. During the ceremony, my grandma, Brenda, was our ring bearer, which was so lovely. When Brandon originally asked her if she’d like the job, she sobbed for 20 minutes saying, ‘I’m honoured, I’m honoured!’ Brandon wore a suit from Master Debonair that looked grey or navy in different lights. He wore boots, rather than shoes, and a bow tie and braces. He accessorised it further with a Tag watch, which I gave to him the night before our wedding. For our centrepieces, we had jars filled with fresh gypsophila dotted along the tables, complete with candle sticks in rust, sage and green colours and terracotta table runners. My bridesmaids bought us all matching white Crocs – my favourite footwear – with our names on! Mine said ‘Mrs’ on one foot and ‘Mally’ on the other. It was a fantastic gift and great for the evening dancing! REAL WEDDINGS 41
