He thought Christie was beautiful and was attracted to her amazing, loving and caring personality above anything else. His ability to make her laugh no matter what was going on in their lives was so special. Christie says, “I couldn’t believe how good looking he had gotten since our school days!” Dale proposed on the beach near The Little Haven Hotel in South Shields back in 2019. The area is where they visited many times in the early stages of their relationship; the quiet atmosphere always allowed them to spend quality time together. While Christie was on holiday in Portugal with her older sister Lauren, Dale took the time to ask her dad’s permission to marry his daughter and planned the perfect proposal. The pair set out for a meal once she’d returned home before walking to the beach where he popped the question. She says, “It was a massive surprise – I had no idea at all!” The date was set for June 4 th 2021, and the pair created a day full of love and laughter.
