Sometimes you have to go with the flow! My mum read out a fantastic po em that she had written called ‘ The Nightmare of a COVID-19 Brid e’. Every word highlighted our experience of planning a wedding during t he pandemic. Gary says, “My memorable moment was watching Joanne, who looked so beautiful, as she walked down the aisle to one of our favourite songs – I just about kept it together!” We went to Bowness-on-Windermere for our minimoon, it was a dream of mine to stay at the Aphrodites Boutique Suites. We felt proud that we managed to pull off a fanta stic day ourselves – we planned it all in two weeks! We originally planned to have more than 100 guests but had to downsize. However, this allowed us to spe nd quality time with the people that mattered the most to us. 32
