It was clear that they shared a strong bond early on in the relationship and were meant to be together. They were an item by April and looking for a house together come winter. Fast forward to Gemma’s 30 th birthday, David surprised her with a trip to Iceland the next morning. She says, “After an amazing three days of exploring and going on some fantastic trips to places such as the Blue Lagoon, David got down on one knee and proposed on our final evening at Iceland’s biggest landmark – the Hallgrimskirkja a Lutheran parish church – and of course I said yes!” It was the perfect way to end the dream trip; now the pair aimed to create the perfect day with their nearest and dearest.
