The new additions bring the total of available structures to five and there’s something for every wedding no matter the size. This autumn the business is launching the Wedding Canopy, Little Bell, Big Bell and Big Top, which will be joining the existing Wedding Berber to make a fully comprehensive range. The tents can be combined to create different zones at an outdoor wedding such as a chill-out section, bar and catering tent and the main tent. The team take inspiration from around the world to create the classic RTC poles handcrafted from locally-sourced ash, and the weatherproof canvas will keep guests warm and dry in the winter and cool in the summer. Based in County Durham, Weardale Motors is a family run business established in 1926. We pride ourselves in offering first-class vehicles with friendly staff and have modern coaches in all sizes available for hire. What vehicles do you offer? Part of our fleet is our two beautiful vintage buses fondly known as The Old Girl and The Old Boy, which are both a real talking point with guests and allow for amazing photo opportunities. The Old Girl is our Leyland double-decker bus that was first on the roads as a single deck bus in 1949 until she gained her top deck in 1956. Seating 65 passengers, she trundles along nicely giving the wedding party that real vintage feel. The Old Boy is our 1960 London Routemaster that seats 64 loved ones and is what you would have seen on the streets of our capital for many years – it gives many guests a nostalgic trip down memory lane. Our vehicles are immaculate with every attention to detail given so we can offer the best service possible. What’s the highlight of your job? I love my job as a wedding coordinator for the vintage bus side of things and driving the buses myself as every wedding is exciting, special and different. It’s so lovely to see everything come together and be able to help the happy couple have their perfect day.
