His laid-back nature and positive outlook on life caught Laura’s eye , while he loved her confidence and ability to make him happy. On the 11 th November 2018, something special happened, which took Laura completely by surprise. She says, “Dan proposed to me on the beach at Druridge Bay, Northumberland. It’s where we went on our first date and holds a special place in our hearts.” He drew a question mark into the sand and used a stone for the dot, which had ‘marry me?’ written on it. She adds, “I turned around to see him on one knee and it took me a while to believe he was proposing.
