Your North East Wedding - July/August 2020 (Issue 39)
We choose to have a caricaturist to entertain our guests. Barrie James did an amazing job. The company was quirky, and our guests loved him – it was a little keepsake for them to take home, and he was amazingly quick at drawing. Anthony wore a light grey suit with a light check and floral navy tie and the groomsmen all had the same. He stood out with his dachshund cufflinks for our dog Lola and his matching Lola socks! His buttonhole matched the same style as my bouquet, which I thought was a nice touch. It felt so surreal to see myself in a full-length gown, my make-up artist and hairstylist did a great job helping me complete my look – I wish I could look like that every day! I wore a dress bought from Leigh Hetherington Bridal called Rylan from the designer Wtoo by Watters. I picked this style as it was everything I ever dreamed of – it had lace sleeves and a slight train, which was easy to dance in! For the accessories, I kept it very simple with a pearl necklace and earrings. We offered a range of food options for our loved ones to pick from, the venue did a fantastic job getting all the food out, and everything was timed perfectly. We had a three-tier navy and gold cake, which was included in the venue package, and we picked Baileys chocolate and pink champagne for the flavours. We were more interested in how it tasted than looked, and we must say – it was delicious! 29 REAL WEDDINGS
