Your North East Wedding - Mar/Apr 2020 (Issue 37)

L ove can enter our hearts at any moment, you could be walking down the street, rekindle an old friendship, out with loved ones or meet online, just like Amie and Keith did. At the time, the pair both worked in schools and bonded over their love of holidays in Scotland. Amie says, “I’m the type of person that enjoys my own company and come across as an introvert unless I’m around people I’m really close to. Keith is like the male version of me and brings out my goofy and quirky side.” From that moment, the couple’s relationship blossomed into something truly beautiful, which led to Keith popping the question. Amie says: “We sat down near the Eiffel Tower where he mumbled through a little speech. He then said, ‘C’mon, let’s go buy you a ring, unless this one will do?’ and pulled a ring out of his pocket. I was so surprised as I packed all of our luggage and knew every item we took. It turns out he cut a hole through the middle pages in one of his books and hid it in there!” Here Amie tells us details of their special day...
