Your North East Wedding - Mar/Apr 2020 (Issue 37)
The adult bridesmaids wore grey satin midi-dresses with a lace cowl back from Reiss. The length suited their petite height and figures perfectly – I wanted them to have a dress they could wear again. The junior bridesmaid wore a sage-green chiffon maxi-dress and the flowergirl had an ivory and white chiffon gown. A harpist played throughout the ceremony, as the guests took their seats, and as I walked down the aisle. She then played outside to entertain the guests during the drinks reception, which created a lovely atmosphere – so many of the guests commented on this special touch. Dave wore a three-piece Mark Darcy suit, which was light tweed with a blue check print. He also wore a light blue paisley tie with a metallic thread and matching pocket square. I loved my dad walking me down the aisle – I was squeezing his arm tight as I was so nervous. Seeing Dave’s reaction was just amazing. I loved the illuminated initial letters and heart. I wore an off-the-shoulder A-line gown called Nashville by Ian Stuart in dark ivory, which was complemented by a beautiful lace cathedral-length veil. The dress was simple but still had the wow factor with an elegant cut and luxurious fabric. 39 REAL WEDDINGS
