Couples can now exchange vows in Artisan, situated next door to the venue’s contemporary art, craft and design gallery. The space, licensed for up to 100 guests, boasts artwork on display, a 25ft glass wall filled with ceramics and sculptures, and a specially commissioned wall mural by figurative painter Dan Cimmermann. CHANGING ROOMS Northumberland’s Doxford Hall – the county’s only four red star hotel wedding venue – has recently revealed its refurbished The Kennedy Suite. The refurbishment project included a new oak floor, with a subtle ‘frost’ finish, and full decoration, resulting in a soft grey heritage-inspired scheme enhancing the reception space. As well as country house style interiors, the venue also boasts 10 acres of private gardens and grounds, including a secret walled garden and Europe’s largest yew tree maze. Then there’s the stone terraces and balustrades and stone canopied staircase, tucked into a corner of the Hall’s façade. Doxford Hall still has availability for 2020 weddings, so be sure to book for a private Champagne show-round soon.
