Your North East Wedding - Sep/Oct 2019 (Issue 34)
My make-up artist was a dream on the day, fixing my make-up when I cried at a letter from Ryan while I was getting ready. She even stuck around until the ceremony to make sure I looked perfect. Being an open cake, our florist lined the inside with the same flowers as my bouquet. This took a lot of coordination so that the flowers stayed in place and the cake didn’t fall over! During the ceremony and drinks reception, we had a singer who played both the guitar and the piano. His voice was heavenly, and he even learned some of our favourite songs. We chose not to have a band because we felt a DJ was better value for money. We also thought people might dance more to the original songs rather than a band covering them. There were a few photographers with a similar style to Amy Lou, but after Skyping, we knew we wanted to use her. She was a calming influence on the day, and we didn’t feel camera shy at all – in fact, we hardly noticed she was there! When choosing a videographer, everyone has their own signature style, so trying to find someone you like can be time-consuming. We were so pleased with Bennett Media, as they were easy and pleasant to work with. REAL WEDDINGS 45
