Your North East Wedding - Mar/Apr 2019 (Issue 31)

Our wedding party played garden games, and we also hired a singer and a magician. It was a huge success – people who’d never met before were laughing playing the games and wondering how the magician did his tricks! We loved our choice of evening music, booking a DJ and saxophonist package. I listened to their work online and knew they’d be the perfect choice – they kept the guests dancing all night long. Our wedding cake looked beautiful and tasted even better thanks to the cake-maker’s delicious baking skills! Our guests really enjoyed the Victoria sponge and lemon drizzle flavours. I’d followed my hair stylist and make-up artist on social media and always admired their work. My look was complemented with a veil and hair piece I’d seen as I walked by a shop window – the second I saw them I fell in love! I opted for a relaxed hand-tied bouquet featuring seasonal blooms in a colour scheme of white, silver and grey. I also used the same flowers at the end of the seat rows, as well as down our aisle and for our centrepieces. We opted to hire some big illuminated letters that spelled “LOVE” as well as our initials. Our guests also loved our cake table, which was packed with tasty treats. REAL WEDDINGS 43 
