While we both felt a deep connection to Rowton Castle, we were initially unsure if it was the right choice for our wedding. Feeling a little guilty about it, we decided to explore other venues. This decision ultimately led us to realise that no other location could offer the same level of care and attention. With the reassurance that we would have the best day possible in a place we knew and loved, we set a date at Rowton Castle and from that moment, everything began to fall into place. Our suppliers were chosen because we knew what a brilliant job they would do. Our day would not have come together without them Working at the venue, it was lovely to know that my tables would be set up exactly how I wanted them and to help, I supplied a detailed decoration plan. A blush pink colour scheme was repeated throughout the day, with gold and glass elements too. A particularly meaningful detail was my wedding ring! Made by a local goldsmith in the same square as the ceremony venue, it was crafted from half of my great-grandfather’s wedding band – the other half would be used for my sister. We had a cake of cheese for Gareth, which was the only ‘rustic’ element of the day. 40
