They kept everyone on the dancefloor and kept the party going until the last second. They were happy to take requests and DJ’d in between sets. Tristan’s speech was perfect, and my dad’s went so much better than he expected as he was so nervous – it was great! For our honeymoon, we went to Rome for six days and had the best time ever! We spent the whole time walking and sightseeing in the daytime while eating and drinking in the evenings. On the final night, we went to a Michelin-starred restaurant and had some of the best food we’d ever eaten! We both planned this trip but have said that we will take turns to plan for our anniversaries. The venue did all of the catering, and it was stunning! To start, there was bruschetta with burrata cheese, followed by beef bourguignon with creamy mash and seasonal vegetables for the main. The desserts were apple crumble and sticky toffee pudding. In the evening, there was a cheese tower with crackers, breads, chutneys and burgers. I wore an off-the-shoulder Mikado dress by Rebecca Ingram for Maggie Sottero, which I bought from Elizabeth Kate Bridal in Scunthorpe. It was the last dress I tried on, aptly named Josie, so it was made for me! The team did all of my alterations and made the process so relaxing. I always thought I’d go for a long-sleeved lace gown, but they just didn’t feel right! 46
