Your Midlands Wedding - August/September 2024 (Issue 93)

The older bridesmaids all wore their choice of chiffon black dress; it took a while to find something for everyone! I didn’t mind them all wearing different styles as they’re all different people. Many questioned the decision to have them in black, but I’m thrilled with how it turned out! The younger bridesmaids wore olive green dresses to stand out and looked very beautiful. For favours, we had little shot bottles filled with Licor 43 for a gold touch. Tristan wore a brown tweed three-piece suit from Skopes with black accessories, including a bow tie, while the rest of the groomsmen wore black satin ties so he would stand out. We had no flowers, just plenty of green foliage! We kept everything black and white, so the green in the room popped! We had black napkins, white chiffon chair drapes, place names, table names and a green moon gate behind the top table. We decided to go for different centrepieces on each table. Some had elegant gold halo hoops with hanging tealights, while others had a charming trio of vases with candles, books and tealights. All had beautiful flowers in the centre, surrounded by lush greenery! REAL WEDDINGS 45
