from Manchester,” explains Kayleigh. “They were better than we could have imagined and catered for all ages. Our dancefloor remained packed from start to finish which was exactly what we wanted.” MEMORABLE MOMENTS “On the morning of the wedding, we couldn’t stop smiling,” recalls the bride. “Our hearts were so full, and it was honestly the best day of our lives. The moment that stood out the most for me was walking down the aisle with my dad and seeing Matt grinning. I wasn’t nervous, surprisingly, just super excited to start our lives together as Mr and Mrs.” Kayleigh’s sister, Lauren, planned a surprise after the wedding breakfast. “We were completely unaware of what was going on,” adds Kayleigh. “She appeared with her guitar and began playing Elvis Presley’s Can’t Help Falling in Love. Not only that, but she had arranged for a guest on every table to stand up and sing parts of the song. They had all their lines printed, and it was thoroughly thought out, which made me cry a lot! At the end of the song, the whole room was up and singing, which was utterly amazing.” “During the wedding breakfast, one of Matt’s friends mentioned to the best man that there should be something about Matt’s love for quiche in his speech,” remembers the bride. “It’s a running joke that before we lived together, Matt lived off quiche. My dad overheard this conversation, so during his speech, he managed to slip a joke in which got all of the men laughing.” HONEYMOON “We went to York for a mini-moon for four nights the day after the wedding,” says Kayleigh. “We planned it together as a short break away with the idea of going on a more luxurious honeymoon once travel restrictions were lifted. York is a beautiful city, and we were blessed with lovely weather during our time there.” REAL WEDDINGS 35
