I’m a professional magician and member of The Magic Circle. I’m based in the West Midlands and regularly perform at weddings large and small across the UK. Q – What should couples expect when booking your services? I will help make the most special day of your life that bit more magical. Q – What packages do you offer? I put together a bespoke package for every couple once I have ascertained their requirements. The price depends on the guest list, age range attending and how the entertainment slots in with the plan for the day. The packages I offer generally consist of close-up table magic between courses, mingling during the reception and photographs, close-up before and after the speeches and a 30-45 minute stage/cabaret show after dinner. Q – How long before the wedding should couples book? This is entirely your choice. Obviously, the earlier you book, the more likely the date will be available, but I will always do my best to accommodate at short notice. With so many couples sadly having to postpone their weddings more than once or twice in some cases, it seems everyone is certainly ready to be entertained to make up for lost time! Q – What’s your favourite part of the job? Performing at weddings is my favourite part of the job! I’ve worked in different arenas, both on stage and close-up, but there’s always something so special about being part of someone’s big day. I consider it such a privilege to be able to add value to what is already such a joyful event and to be able to establish connections through the medium of magic. Q – Do you have any top tips for couples? Your day is all about you, and the further you can plan in advance to ensure that all angles are covered, the easier it will be on the day for you to relax and enjoy it. Magic is a great ice breaker for people who are meeting for the first time, so it’s a perfect addition before the wedding breakfast. If you’re planning an evening where different loved ones are joining you, the time between the speeches and the new guests arriving is a good time to use magic to occupy and entertain. This helps mingling and adds energy after sitting down for a long period. Entertaining guests is also a good way to take the pressure off the bride and groom as it keeps the guests occupied while they have their photographs taken.
