Your West Midlands Wedding- April/May 2021 (Issue 73)

In the evening, we had a live band called KTO – Kathleen Turner Overdrive perform. They got everyone up on the dancefloor and even performed requested songs. We also had a glitter bar by Emma’s Fantasy Faces. It was so entertaining to watch grown men dancing around the barn covered in glitter, and it ended up being a bigger hit with the men than the ladies! Matt opted for a blue three-piece suit with a blue and brown paisley print cravat from House of Cavani. He had wine coloured leather brogues from Paolo Vandini and accessorised with bespoke cufflinks that I designed at local jewellers, Camilla Jones. My two bridesmaids chose an embellished blush maxi dress from Monsoon. It had a shimmering beaded pattern and complimented our venue perfectly. Our flowergirl wore a beautiful ivory dress and a gypsophila flower crown in her hair. I wore a lace off-the-shoulder A-line gown desig ned by Justin Alexander. I purchased it from Shakespeare In Love Wedding Boutique, and loved the sequins and that it shim mered in the light. I wanted a more prominent waistline, so I opted for a sparkly belt around the waist and finished the look with a veil and d elicate hair vine. We opted for informal food that we both loved. We picked out our favourite canapés for the welcome drinks, had sharing boards for the main meal and warm chocolate brownies for dessert. In the evening, we hired The Old Dough Hook to provide pizzas which everyone loved, and the venue made chip cones to be served with it. In between the ceremony and lunch, we had welcome drinks and canapés with an acoustic performer called Drew, who was just amazing. He set a relaxed tone and had so many compliments from guests. We also had caricaturist, Chris Pavlick who was a big hit, so much so, time ran out, and he had to take photos of the guests and carry on drawing while we ate. REAL WEDDINGS 47 
