We spoke briefly, but I was in a rush to meet my mum, so we didn’t exchange details. Matt then went out of his way to get my contact information to ask me out on a date.” Matt popped the question during a holiday in Kefalonia in September 2018. “It was just before our sixth anniversary,” shares the bride. “Matt proposed on the first night as he was so nervous and couldn’t wait. Sounds cheesy, but as we stopped to look at the stars, Matt got down on one knee in the sand and asked me to marry him. He isn’t very good at keeping secrets, but it was a huge surprise.
