Your West Midlands Wedding- February / March 2021 (Issue 72)
I wore a beautiful Kenneth Winston dress that I found at a designer weekend event. I loved the sparkle in the corset and the volume of the skirt. I didn’t plan to have a strapless gown, but when I tried it on it just felt right. As soon as I saw myself in the mirror, I knew it was the one. I had my mum and sister with me, and they were as sure as I was that it was the perfect dress. I had my hair styled by Forever Hair by Hollie and my make- up done by the lovely Sarah Waters Aesthetics. Nick and the groomsmen opted for suits from Kevin Paul. He wore a pink waistcoat while the others chose a blue version. On the day, the registrars allowed my dad to walk me down the aisle. We thought this wouldn’t be possible due to COVID-19 restrictions so this was a special moment for us all. Nick was happy because he knew how much it meant to both me and my dad, and we were just overcome with emotion. The bridesmaids opted for a beautiful green Maya dress from ASOS. The sparkle from the sequins looked lovely next to my wedding gown. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, we were unable to have any entertainment, so we opted for background music. Before the wedding, we thought it would have been something we missed, but it was so lovely to be in a room with all our closest friends and family and enjoying time together. There was lots of laughing and chatting, and it was the best day that we could have hoped and dreamed of. REAL WEDDINGS 29
