Saying our vows was a memorable and beautiful moment that we’ll always cherish. For our flowers, we opted for white gerberas and navy roses. Rich’s family often host events at the Best Western Valley Hotel, and the first time I visited, I fell in love with the venue. It’s quaint, quirky, and just the right size for what we wanted. The staff were fantastic, they ensured everything ran smoothly and kept us updated every step of the way. We decided to have two cakes. One was poker-themed, and the other was inspired by our love of bowls. To give our guests some variety, we opted for a traditional fruit cake and classic sponge filling. Our place names were gold-plated poker cards. For the main meal, we hosted an afternoon tea, and in the evening we served a delicious hog roast. 26
