FLUTTERING FALSIES To apply false eyelashes, firstly choose lashes to fit your eye shape and there’s usually a helpful guide on the box and remember that preparation is key! Make sure to have clean and dry lashes that are free from oil-based products. Apply make-up and then curl the lashes followed by mascara and you’re ready to tackle the falsies. ❤ Trim to fit the eye from the outer edge of each strip lash.  ❤ Apply a thin strip of high-quality glue along the entire lash, wait 30 seconds for the glue to become tacky and bend the lash so that the ends touch to help distribute the glue and shape the lash to provide a better and more secure fit.  ❤ Look downwards into a mirror and apply the product to the centre of your lashline, pressing and pinching the inner and outer corners with your natural lashes to adhere perfectly. ❤ Finally, use a black eyeliner to fill in any gaps and complete the look. Maria Knight | Sprinkle Magic | sprinklemagicmua.co.uk POP OF COLOUR Spring weddings are the perfect time to start introducing colour back into your wedding make-up, the sun is on its way out and the flowers are starting to bloom. Avoid any colours that don’t complement your eye colour for example reds and purples will not look right with a blue eye. If your colour theme consists of warm colours like reds and oranges, you could try using some warmer browns on the eyes that have these undertones. If you’re going for colours like pinks and purples, you could use cooler browns with pink undertones and introduce a silver finish. You can use a similar process when selecting your lip colour. If you opt for a heavy eye make-up look, it’s usually a good idea to go for more neutral lip colour and with a subtle eye it’s always good to go bold on the lips. Stephanie Morgan | SJM Beauty | sjmbeauty.com LONGEVITY It’s all in the prep when it comes to long-lasting eye make-up. Firstly, I’d use an eye-primer and I do favour the NARS one and Urban Decay which I follow with a setting powder. I’d then move to a cream-based eyeshadow to give the eye a good base of colour and then use powder as it now has something to cling to which gives it extra lasting power! If you’re creating a smoky eye, add the eyeshadow lightly and build the intensity up. With the weather changing eyes do tend to water more so always take a tissue and some setting powder in your bag to be prepared.  Keri Oldaker | Rebel Rock | rebelrock.co.uk VEIL DILEMMAS If you’re looking to add more details to your overall look, one of my favourite ways to do this is adding an embellished or embroidered veil or cape, this means that you’re able to have two potential looks for your big day by adding or removing it. There’s endless options for personalised details, if you don’t already have an idea of design it’s a good idea to start with the flowers, colours and themes. I try and make samples of this incorporating hand-embroidery techniques, beading and various other techniques such as weaving in textures, prints and colour palettes. Next, you need to think about positioning if that’s detail trailing up the veil from the bottom, perhaps some scattered flowers or an unusual pattern. It’s nice to work with a bit of text, even just the bride and groom’s initials and their wedding date. Budget-wise, this could cost you anything between £90- £800 depending on your chosen design.
