The beautiful oak panelling and open fires lend this venue a real country house atmosphere and was once owned by Bishop Vesey who entertained Henry VIII at the property. The current building was built in the 1900s by Colonel Ansell for his private residence and the wood carvings, stonework and stained-glass windows can still be seen today. Civil ceremonies can take place in the Charter Suite or Bracebridge Suite. The Charter Suite is an elegant and spacious ground-floor room with its own direct entrance from the car park, separate bar and surrounding conservatory overlooking the gardens. It can cater for up to 180 guests and has been recently renovated in early 2018. Its neutral gold, cream and grey palette and stylish bar, luxurious contemporary lighting and furnishings make a fabulous setting. A smaller space to exchange vows is The Bracebridge Suite on the first floor which caters for up to 60 loved ones. For the reception, there’s a option of three spaces including The Charter Suite – an impressive setting for a wedding reception with the table centrepieces highlighted by pools of light to create a magical atmosphere. The Oak Room restaurant has sweeping views over the surrounding parkland and is great for weddings receptions of 30 to 60 guests. The room’s oak panelling and open fireplaces make a striking setting. Smaller wedding celebrations can be catered for in style in either the Bracebridge or Longmoor rooms. Moor Hall Hotel has recently invested in a Bridal Preparation Suite which is a new elegant space perfectly suited to serve as a bride’s base as she prepares for her big day. The room has a double bed and sofa bed, large mirrors with lots of lighting and plenty of dressing table space for make-up. There’s a connecting room too, meaning brides can enjoy a pre-wedding sleepover with her bridesmaids. The Spa is the perfect place to unwind before or after the big day and can also be used for hen party packages.
