FLOWERS 71  Here’s where lovebirds get to have some fun. Couples can choose boho festival- style flower crowns, delicate hair combs, wrist corsages or even just some simple gypsophila incorporated into the actual hairstyle. This is very ’70s and ’80s look that has come back into fashion just google Solange Knowles’s wedding pictures!  – Caroline Foster  Don’t forget the guys! They don’t just want a simple rose buttonhole; they want a pocketful of flowers! We have made quite a few floral pocket squares this wedding season and they have to be one of our favourites. Floral veils are increasingly becoming more popular as brides want to ensure their look is special and bespoke to them, designed to look like they’ve walked through a magic garden and gathered petals in their wake. This veil is perfect for brides who want to add a little floral love to their look.  – Edwina Lowe  Flower crowns are still a popular piece as couples are finding their days more relaxed and less formal, with grooms getting in on the act with bigger, bolder buttonholes and rightly so I say because it’s their day too. Muted tones and textures are well and truly a thing, brides not only want to smell their blooms but also appreciate its beauty – especially when mixed in with a little something unexpected for that added wow factor. – Roxie Harrison  My favourite ways to add personality to a wedding is by concentrating on the finer details. Using beautiful hand-tied ribbons to tie off the bride’s bouquets – velvet ribbons are my current favourite. I also love to match this with the buttonholes by using twine, chiffon or velvet to add yet another texture to the florals creating an individual look for each client. – Emma Thomas  Dried flowers, lavender and wheat are perfect for adding some special touches to groomsmen’s outfits as buttonholes for the big day. Hair flowers are very popular from single flowers tucked into an up do to more intricate designs. This image is from a wedding last July where the couple wanted their wedding flowers to reflect an English summer garden full of roses, peonies and sweet peas. A significant flower for the bride was jasmine which is traditional in Sri Lankan ceremonies.
