Your West Midlands Wedding - Jun/Jul 2019 (Issue 62)

Around the venue we had old family photos of previous family weddings in vintage-style photo frames. Sweet Cupcakes Cakery made the most delicious rustic, semi-naked, tiered cake with layers of Victoria sponge and lemon cake. Flowers By Lou created our wonderful bouquets, buttonholes, table centers and table runner. Lou was able to help guide the choice of flower, whilst being mindful of what we wanted. Centrepiece stands were mounted mirrors on wooden discs giving a little height and then covered in a floral- patterned ribbon. An assortment of vases were then supplied by our amazing florist Lou who added her creative touch! The table plan was simple and functional mounted into an aperture photo frame. Table names were simply wooden numbers which were incorporated within the flower arrangements by Lou. The venue offered full exclusivity which we really liked and whilst the team gave a guide to the timings of the day they left everything else to our creativity. The venue was beautiful, not overpowering in any way allowing a free-flowing atmosphere for guests all day. The favours were handmade items including coasters made from old childhood photos and personalised golf balls! During the day, due to the stunning sunshine, guests enjoyed the garden games and countryside views. As the day went on, an acoustic duo Two Tonnes played a mixture of music from different decades then finishing the night with the venue’s resident DJ. 34
