Your West Midlands Wedding - Apr/May 2019 (Issue 61)
What do you offer nearlyweds for their big day? I started this business as I couldn’t find any high quality garden games when I was looking for my own big day. My dad is a carpenter joiner and suggested he could do better than other options. He kept his creations a surprise – I expected a few garden games, not a whole carnival. They were so much fun on our day, our guests loved them too there wasn’t a moment they weren’t being used. We’ve got small garden games like quoits, which are perfect for the time period between the ceremony and wedding breakfast, or larger carnival games like duck shoot that will provide entertainment all day. What can couples expect when booking you? We love our products and are so proud of them – we run our company to share our awesome games, not just to make a profit. We want to make everything as easy for our couples as possible and we handle everything. We also let you change your mind on game types right up to the last minute, plus you’ll also get our items for your whole day. What would you advise our readers to remember? That our games are loved by wedding guests and are perfect to stop excess drinking and encourage mingling. Also let the bride win – people didn’t on my wedding day and I haven’t forgiven them yet! What key question should couples be asking when booking? Hire period! It may look like an amazing price, but if it’s only for two hours it’s not worth it. Also you don’t want someone taking things down in the middle of your disco. All the music you could possibly need for your civil ceremony, including a song in place of one of the readings if required. I can also accompany hymns, lead the singing and even provide a few singers to sit among the congregation for encouragement if there is no choir. Post-vows background music sets the atmosphere for your drinks reception and wedding breakfast. For little ones, I can provide children ‘Hands on Harps’ entertainment for children with small carbon fibre harps. In addition to the standard home consultation to help you select the music you want, I offer discounts on nuptials between Monday and Thursday as well as for more intimate dos. What can couples expect when booking you? Couples booking with me will be given time to discuss all their own ideas in a complimentary consultation. We can try things out and experiment with new ways of playing old songs. I love playing for weddings and will do all I can to make a couple’s dreams come true. What would you advise our readers to remember? Make sure you hear your music played live before you book. What key question should couples be asking when booking? Are they prepared to spend time with you at the planning stage to find out what you really want?
